about

"Recorded by Jack Birnie in his flat in Dundee, Scotland"

A Homage to the liner notes inside Bon Iver's "For Emma, Forever Ago". Not quite got the same ring to it but that's where it happened.

"the wine, the bread and the seed" has been many months of work, many tantrums and a lot of sweat. It's not perfect - but it isn't meant to be. This album is representative of the place where I eat, sleep and work. my living room is where I did the recording and it's like everyone else's; it doesn't have any acoustic treatment and the neighbours enjoy banging loudly on the walls. These imperfections are on the album somewhere, just look out for them.

Enjoy it anyway,
Jack Birnie
